2024-2025 Publicis Montreal
CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER
—-
At Publicis Montreal, I lead a team of 65 full-time employees (FTEs) and 20 creatives. I am responsible for overseeing the agency’s creative output and maintaining its reputation. Key accomplishments include securing several major clients, shaping the creative culture, and restructuring the team to align with modern creative unit requirements and best practices.
2022-2024 C2 (kyu collective)
CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER
—-
I was hand-picked by Kyu Collective’s CEO to lead C2. This role was a leap of faith for me, as it marked a significant pivot from the advertising industry. It was an incredible experience that played a key role in my reintegration into Canada, as everything I did at C2 was driven by local design, tech, and experience communities. A key accomplishment was restoring C2 Montreal to its former glory and creating EY’s best-ever edition of their annual event, Innovation Realized. I streamlined the creative team, transforming it from a pre-pandemic model to an expertise-driven creative unit with a thriving culture that produces some of the world’s most innovative experiences.
2020-2022 Sid Lee (kyu collective)
GLOBAL EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR
—-
Given the recognition I had gained during my years in Asia, Sid Lee reached out to me when they learned I had returned to Montreal. I was hired specifically to establish a global unit called ‘The Global Task Force.’ This project lasted two years, and I was responsible for hiring creatives across various markets, including Europe, Asia, the US, and Canada, to support global pitch efforts. These global responsibilities were a testament to my international experience and helped Sid Lee not only expand its company culture globally but also win multiple pieces of business, solidifying its presence on the global stage.
2020-2021 Publicis Asia
EXECUTIVE CREATIVE CONSULTANT
—-
Upon returning to Canada, I was fortunate to continue working for Publicis Asia as a creative consultant, serving one of their biggest clients remotely. This experience allowed me to collaborate with clients I was already familiar with, as well as with my teams, to develop new and innovative business units for an FMCG client. The role lasted a year and a half, after which I decided to focus on my work in Canada.
2018-2020 Publicis Groupe China
CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER
—-
This role was my largest to date and offered me the opportunity to lead at scale. In this group position, I was responsible for leading 14 creative agencies at the holding company level, overseeing 600+ creatives and 4,000+ employees across China. I had oversight of the Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou offices. In addition to leading, coaching, and inspiring such a large team, I was also tasked with setting up the Digitas, Sapient, and Prodigious operations in-market. Essentially, my role was to build bespoke client brand teams, composed of top talent from multiple agencies, in line with Publicis' ‘Power of One’ model.
2016-2018 The Walt Disney Company
GREATER CHINA DIGITAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR
—-
I was hired by The Walt Disney Company to set up their digital offering in China, specifically developing their apps, games, and immersive experiences. I designed and produced three AAA mobile games at Disney and worked on the prototype for the direct-to-consumer streaming platform, Disney+, which was piloted in Taiwan, Japan, and Mainland China.
2014-2016 R/GA
GROUP EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR
—-
I was hired at R/GA after the success I had at AKQA with Nike and other clients. My role at R/GA involved founding the Shanghai office, hiring its startup team, and relaying R/GA’s culture and unique work to the Asian market. During my tenure, I was also pivotal in establishing the Japan offering. Highlights include winning multiple Nike categories for the agency and developing creative work for Apple and Beats by Dre across all of Asia.
2009-2014 AKQA
EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR
—-
I was employee #3 at AKQA Shanghai. Over the course of my six years at AKQA, I grew the office from 3 to 150 people and moved the office three times due to rapid growth. Our biggest client was Nike, and we started with a small brief on the sport of cricket for Nike India. The work we produced allowed us to win all Nike categories in China, the digital sports category, and a large-scale app and commerce integration project, given China’s atypical digital ecosystem. In addition to Nike, we were the agency of record for Unilever, Coca-Cola, and many more. These were my brightest years as ECD, during which I gained most of my industry recognition and speaking engagements.
2000-2009 Ogilvy
NATIONAL EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR
—-
My wonderful experience at Ogilvy lasted a decade—it was my school of advertising. Hired as a web developer, I was quickly promoted to creative director at the young age of 24. Highlights include setting up OgilvyInteractive and OgilvyOne. My first major interactive project at Ogilvy won "Best of Show," and one of my final projects for Adidas, The Rook, gained significant attention in the digital community and at award shows. This project set me up for another decade of work at other agencies, with clients like Nike and many more.
1998-2000 Technomedia
VISUAL DESIGNER/DEVELOPER
—-
Technomedia was my first job out of school, where I designed and developed multiple online learning courses in visual design, motion design, and video production. These courses were built as Java Applets and provided fully interactive experiences. The work I created at Technomedia was instrumental in securing my opportunity to work in China.
